Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Despite everything being #cancelled this year, I could not come to terms with the thought of Halloween 2020 not being celebrated in my new home. This holiday holds a special place in my heart for creativity, endless DIY opportunities, and ironically, the overall spooky, dark vibe just makes me so happy. 😂 Ronnie and I made the decision to host our own Halloween party since going out to celebrate was not an option this year. I was especially excited to decorate our home! With the help of my sister and best friend, we were able to create something truly spectacular and unique for the evening. Please enjoy these detail shots of my elevated Halloween party décor!
They decided on an all-black skeleton theme for the food + snack table. I loved how they incorporated different textures with feathers and black roses. The attention to detail here was incredible with custom bottle labels and our menu on a tombstone!
Moving onto my favorite part: the candy + treats table! We really wanted to keep the consistency of “elevated” Halloween party décor throughout each room of the house, but change the theme slightly per table to keep interest as our guests walked through! The dessert table’s theme was a witch theme! Complete with spell-books and cauldrons spilling with sweets, they created an amazing spread of treats from custom Halloween sugar cookies to homemade cake pops, and all different types of creepy candy! Along with desserts, we created a “Poison Apple” spiked punch held in a gigantic cauldron complete with dry ice and all!
Not one corner of the home was left without decorations for the evening. Below are a few more of my favorites:
We transformed my backyard into a mini graveyard, complete with a a fog machine for dramatic effect. *Not shown*
One of the first impressions our guests had upon arriving was our front entrance. I really loved how this came all together. Our mums finally opened up just in time to match our array of pumpkins!
I cannot thank everyone who helped make our first Halloween party so special! From setting up all of the decorations to cleaning up everything at the end of the night, I’m lucky to have such an amazing group of friends and family who helped make this possible!
That’s all for now until next year! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!
