Quarantine may have brought us socially-distant as a society, but Ronnie and I decided to to be closer than ever . . . for ever. 🤣 We bought our first home here on Long Island, and are so excited to start this new chapter of our lives together!
You know, it’s funny.
Life plays itself out the way it’s meant to no matter how much you try and plan for the future. Being extremely Type A, I find it hard not to over-think and over-plan every aspect of my life. Ronnie, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. He’s definitely more “go with the flow” and spontaneous. Never in the world would I have thought I’d buy a house before getting married, but hey . . . it was a blessing in disguise.
Ronnie and I have known each other for ten years now. If you don’t already know, we are actually high school sweethearts! At this point in our lives, we felt it was a smarter choice financially to prioritize owning a place to call our own over a wedding. We both know a future together is inevitable, so why throw away our life savings for a four-hour reception? It just didn’t make sense. Eventually we will make it official and tie the knot, but when that day comes, I want to be in a place financially stable to do it the right way. I don’t believe in cutting corners or rushing just because that’s what society tells me I should be doing.
Anything worth having is worth waiting for.
Ronnie and I could not have done this without the help of some amazing people who helped make the home buying process as easy as possible. We would personally like to thank Gregory Koster from Cardinal Financial Company for being our point person throughout the entire experience. Greg was knowledgeable, trustworthy, and a mentor in so many ways. He made sure we completely understood each step of the process from initial offer to closing, so we never felt out of the loop. I enjoyed taking a creative break to learn all the “finance” things. 🤣
We would also like to thank Asaf German PC for representing and supporting us. Whenever we had a question about a legal document or issue, Asaf was able to explain it to us in a way where we felt educated and fully confident in our actions. Asaf and his team were there for us every step of the way, and helped make the legal aspects of buying our first home less intimidating and scary.
I can’t wait to share this next chapter of my life with all of you! Ronnie and I are excited to officially make this place our own and create amazing new memories here as homeowners. Cheers to new beginnings!
